Ukraine tries to export chicken meat to the EU

Ukraine has called on EU members to reconsider restrictions by the spread of bird flu in the country.

According to the information obtained, Ukrainian officials, during an online meeting with their parties in the European Union, presented a report based on laboratory documents, describing the current state of the outbreak and the occurrence of the disease.

Ukrainian officials believe that under EU laws, the country is free of bird flu and can continue to export poultry products to the union.

Ukrainian poultry producers have been working with their trading partners since January to reach a final agreement with the European Union on accepting zoning rules for avian influenza in line with international and The World Organization for Animal Health standards.

Ukraine is one of the largest producers of chicken meat in Eastern Europe.
