Reducing the price of chicken meat in Egypt

Despite the increase in the price of poultry feed in Egypt, the price of chicken meat in this country has decreased.

Economists in the country believe that the reopening of schools and consequently the decline in people’s purchasing power has reduced demand and reduced the price of this product.

Commentators believe that the price of chicken meat in this country is reasonable, but the reduction in consumer demand to less than 50% has caused the current problems for Egyptian producers.

Estimates show that the per capita consumption of chicken meat in this country is 21.5 kg.

These problems have occurred under the circumstances that the import of chicken meat to this country has experienced a 15% decrease since March this year.
