Mexican poultry industry output grew 2.7 percent in the first eight months of 2020.
Statistics released by the Mexican Agricultural and Fisheries Information Service (SIAP) show that poultry production in the country grew by 4% during the period.
Studies also show that the country’s egg production has increased by 1.3 percent in the first eight months of this year.
The increase comes as experts previously believed that the country’s poultry industry was growing slightly due to the outbreak of COVID-19. But the flexibility of the Mexican poultry industry seems to have led to the current positive trend.
Studies of the Mexican domestic market have shown that between 2020 and 2021, with the increase in domestic poultry production, the share of countries such as Brazil in the supply of these products has decreased. Meanwhile, the per capita consumption of chicken meat by the people of this country is increasing.
