Canada is working to keep up with rising grain exports.
Statistics released by the Canadian Customs show that Canadian grain exporters have managed to have 35% more exports in January 2021 than the same month last year.
Exports of cereals and oilseeds from Canada reached more than 26 million tonnes in January 2021, according to the Canadian Cereal Commission (CGC).
Meanwhile, some news sources have reported that China is trying to pre-purchase millions of tons of grain from Canada and France to feed its livestock. These efforts have intensified as the process of rebuilding and activating pig farms in China has accelerated.
However, following the outbreak of COVID-19 and Chinese purchases, the global grain market has been plagued by tensions.
Some experts believe that the release of this news can affect prices in global markets to some extent.
