Declining Brazilian revenue from chicken meat exports

Brazilian chicken meat exports fell in the first six months of this year.

The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) has announced in its latest statement that the income from the country’s chicken meat exports has decreased. Experts say that Egypt, Libya, Angola, Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam have increased their imports from Brazil during the first six months of this year.

Meanwhile, the Chinese are still Brazil’s largest consumer market that importing 32 percent of the country’s chicken meat.

On the other hand exports of processed chicken meat from Brazil in June, this year compared to 2019 decreased by 12.4 percent to 342,000 tons.

It should be noted that 6 of the 15 largest destinations for Brazilian chicken meat are from Arab countries
